Janet Leung, Registered Physiotherapist

Janet is the owner of Cross Roads Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy. Her vision for the clinic, which opened in April 2009, was to create a multi-disciplinary and supportive setting where healthcare practitioners can build their practice and where clients can access a variety of services with ease.
Janet obtained her Honours BSc in Physiotherapy in 1999 from Queen’s University where she finished as the Medallist in her graduating class. She has extensive experience working in public and private practice including St. Paul’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital. She uses acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy and completed her Certificate in Medical Acupuncture from the University of Alberta in 2003. She has a special interest in women’s health issues, and has post-graduate training and experience to treat pelvic floor dysfunction including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain. She has Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Levels 2A and 2B training with the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She is a certified Fit-To-Deliver instructor and a Pfilates-certified trainer. She was a member of the College of Physical Therapists of BC’s Quality Assurance Program “Registrant Competency Assessment” subcommittee from 2008 to 2011. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin.
Janet is married with two daughters who keep her busy and motivated. In her spare time, she enjoys running, yoga, listening to podcasts and baking bread.
