Meet Vancouver Registered Massage Therapist: Edris Safi, BSc (Biochem), RMT
Edris is extremely passionate about massage therapy and truly loves his work. He is enthusiastic about helping people and feels privileged that he is able to introduce the benefits of massage to a wide range of patients. Edris is a graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy where his graduation research study, which focused on treatment of peroneal tendinopathy, won the runner up award at the clinical case report competition from the Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia. He has experience treating patients with chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, overuse conditions, fibromyalgia, headaches as well as orthopedic and sport related injuries. In 2013, Edris had the opportunity to be part of the massage team at the Ride to Conquer Cancer, Workout to Conquer Cancer, and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Edris also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University with a major in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. He prides himself on staying up-to-date with the latest scientific research, and hopes to bridge the gap between evidence based science and holistic therapy in his practice. He utilizes a variety of modalities during treatments, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, active/passive stretching and deep tissue therapy.
In his spare time, Edris enjoys travelling, fishing and camping in remote areas of our province.
Edris works Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the clinic.
